We publish articles, opinion pieces, research summaries, and eyewitness accounts covering both Azad Kashmir (AJK) and Indian-Occupied Kashmir (IOK). We cover human rights, politics, culture, history, and the everyday lives of Kashmiri people.

We do not offer payment at this stage. Kashmeeriyat is a nonprofit platform run by volunteers. Published pieces include a full byline and author bio, reaching our growing global audience.

Yes. We welcome submissions in Urdu. Please indicate the language in your submission and our team will arrange for appropriate review.

Absolutely. We welcome contributions from journalists, researchers, academics, and human rights advocates worldwide. You do not need to be Kashmiri to contribute meaningfully.

We only accept original, unpublished work. If your article has been published anywhere — even your own blog or social media — we cannot accept it.

We aim to respond within 5–7 working days. We will always notify you of the outcome, whether accepted, needs revision, or declined.

Our team may make minor edits for clarity or grammar. For significant changes we will contact you first. We will never change the meaning or intent of your writing without your approval.

We are particularly interested in ground-level reporting from AJK and IOK, human rights documentation, analysis of the JAAC movement, the impact of Article 370, press freedom, and the daily lives of Kashmiri people on both sides of the Line of Control.
